Summary: Provide high-quality health, nutrition, parent/family engagement activities, and education projects and information. Suitable for the whole family, Expectant Families, Birth to preschool children in alignment with the tribe’s vision for a healthy community grounded in Dakota language and lifeways. Work in the community, school and SNAP systems to build partnerships with families to assist them in identifying their own goals, strengths, needed services and support systems for historical, and current use of nutritional food, healthy events and commitment to overall health. Developing the programs for learning, utilize and develop strategies and timetables for achieving increases health and nutrition goals. Responsible for research, learning, sharing, educate and implement nutrition, cooking, active events, and communicate wellness through the SNAP program. Discuss recruitment, eligibility, and encourage enrollment and attendance to SNAP education programs. This position will focus on the Infant and Toddler age-range for direct education classes and Collaborate with the other SNAP-ED Wauƞspewic̣akiya for Family and Community direct education classes.
