JOB TITLE:                Industrial Hemp Construction Laborer

DEPARTMENT:         Industrial Hemp Construction

REPORTS TO:           Industrial Hemp Construction Project Manager

FLSA STATUS:           Non-Exempt

SUMMARY:

The function of the Industrial Hemp Construction Laborer is to provide construction knowledge and skills to various projects the Lower Sioux Industrial Hemp Construction Crew are responsible for. Industrial Hempcrete Construction is labor intensive and requires excellent attendance and dependability to the construction crew as well as respect for job site safety and communication skills.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Experience working in deadline-driven environments.
  • Able to work well in a team environment, handle impromptu situations and meet deadlines.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Regular and timely attendance is expected.
  • Responsible for loading and unloading materials, including but not limited to set up and take down of scaffolding and other building materials.
  • Able to maintain a safe and clean job site, including but not limited to cleaning tools, ladders and scaffolding.
  • Communicate with project manager regarding daily and weekly supplies needed for each project.
  • Responsible for creating and maintaining a clean work site.
  • Responsible for appropriate fill locations and amount to fill.
  • Able to tamp consistently.
  • Able to perform construction skills such as installing and moving framework, plumb walls, and place outlets and fittings.
  • Provide feedback to the Mixmaster and assist with any other necessary tasks.
  • Regular attendance necessary.
  • Regular punctuality necessary.
  • Available and willing to work any changes in hours on the schedule at any time during employment.
  • Other duties as assigned.

  • Strong contributor in team environments.
  • Able to lift 50 pounds.
