SUMMARY:

The Dispensary Assistant Manager is responsible for helping oversee and manage a team of dispensary and retail employees for the company’s medicinal cannabis dispensary / retail store(s). This position will involve assisting the Manager in managing and making the dispensary / retail store(s) operational. The Dispensary Assistant Manager serves as staff mentor and supervisor, customer advocate, and dispensary / retail brand ambassador.

The Dispensary Assistant Manager will work with the Manager to provide leadership, direction, and support, overseeing daily operations of the dispensary / retail, including handling the needs of all customers, and hiring and developing a team to service the needs of our customer base and meet the strategic goals and vision of the company while maintaining compliance with applicable tribal, state and local rules and regulations. The ideal candidate shall have demonstrated leadership experience, as he or she will be given significant responsibility with the launch and operation of the dispensary / retail while maximizing sales with a customer service focus.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Must be able to meet background and licensing standards throughout employment.
  • Possess a valid driver’s license, Tribal or State ID.
  • Minimum 21 years of age.
  • Significant managerial experience on executive level with a preference in a highly regulated field and retail environment.
  • Considerable exposure to retail cultures focused on well-developed standard operating procedures and management and employee training programs.
  • Experience in inventory management and reconciliation.
  • Work history that demonstrates stability, progressive responsibility, and willingness to accept new duties.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Assist with the completion or execution of any and all tasks required of Manager.
  • Ensure Dispensary Employees are in accordance with all federal, state, and local regulations, rules, and laws, enforce company policies and procedures.
  • Train and coach employees on sales procedures, product information, dispensary operating procedures, patient resource information.
  • Accurately handle cash when reconciling employee drawers, performing safe counts, issuing payments.
  • Complete any and all tasks required of Shift Lead, Budtender, Front Desk Receptionist, Inventory Associate, or Inventory Controller if needed.
  • Report to Dispensary Manager.
  • Ensure proper compliance with Dispensary and security policies.
  • Regular attendance necessary.
  • Regular punctuality necessary.
  • Available and willing to work any changes in hours on the schedule at any time during employment.
  • Other duties as assigned.
